At Alpha Greek School, all students will participate in a comprehensive curriculum.
We are committed to providing an influential, fun and safe environment in which all students will experience expert teaching and dedication to their age and stage of learning. We aim to work together to support their development within our school. Greek dancing will also be part of our curriculum and is offered at every lesson for every year level.

We hope you’ve all had a wonderful break and are feeling refreshed and ready for the new term ahead.
We are very excited to welcome our students and families back to Greek School and to begin another year of learning, culture, and connection together.
​
This term, students will continue developing their Greek language skills through engaging lessons that focus on speaking, reading, writing, and cultural understanding. We’ll also be exploring Greek traditions, history, and celebrations, helping our students strengthen their connection to their heritage in a fun and supportive environment.
​
Classes will resume on Monday 16th February at 5PM and we look forward to seeing familiar faces and welcoming new families into our school community.
If you have any questions throughout the term, please don’t hesitate to reach out, always happy to help.

AUSTRALIAN HELLENIC MEMORIAL COMPETITION 2025
​​​
Over the 18th October, our students attended the awards ceremony held at the Australian Hellenic Memorial in the Domain Gardens, in recognition of their participation in the Australian Hellenic Student Competition.
We would like to once again congratulate our Alpha students on their outstanding efforts. We are incredibly proud of you!
​
In addition to the generous prizes awarded by the Australian Hellenic Memorial Foundation panel, this event served to encourage our students to take pride in their extra-curriculum commitment to learning Greek outside of school hours, and to feel proud of their heritage within the Greek
community in Melbourne.
​
We are sincerely grateful to all parents who continue to support their children in this journey.
Your encouragement goes a long way in
shaping their success and identity and the Alpha team will always be there to support each student too!

School Canteen will continue in the first week of Term Two, 2026.
Parents will be emailed with the updated menu in our weekly newsletter.

If you are packing food from home, we kindly ask that you are respectful of our students, as there may be some food allergies.
​
To prevent any mishaps, please avoid packing nuts or eggs in your child's lunch / dinner order.

PAST EVENTS IN july 2024

​Our Alpha teachers and students kick started the second semester with the Olympic Games.
Students participated in various activities regarding the Olympic Games and also undertook a history lesson of where it first began!

SEPTEMBER - OCTOBER 2024 / PAST & PRESENT EVENTS
AUSTRALIAN HELLENIC MEMORIAL COMPETITION 2023
​
Every year we encourage our students to participate in competitions held state wide amongst other Greek Schools. Last year our students participated in the Australian Hellenic Memorial Competition in which three of our Alpha students won First, Second and Third Prize (in each of their year level / category).
It may have rained during the awards presentation, but it didn't stop our Alpha parents, teachers and students from attending the ceremony.
​
We would like to congratulate all of our wonderful students on their efforts & for their participation in the competition.
We would also like to thank the members of the Australian Hellenic Memorial Foundation for constantly showing their support to young Greek - Australian students. Our school appreciates your encouragement towards our young guns!
​
This year our Alpha Students have entered the competition again! Fingers crossed to those who have participated and well done to all parents for supporting their children.
